About
The care senior living should be
Locally-owned, family-led, and grounded in respect for every resident and the people who love them.
Blue Sky Lodge has been a trusted community care home in Greater Victoria, BC since 2003. Under new ownership in 2019, the lodge was thoughtfully refreshed — new spaces, new bathing equipment, and a renewed commitment to the kind of care senior living should be.
Our philosophy
Care, to us, is more than a service — it is a relationship. In our intimate care home, every resident is known personally: not only by name, but by their story, their preferences, and the rhythms of their day. That is what allows us to step in earlier, adjust care more thoughtfully, and ensure no one feels like a stranger in the place they live.
Family and friends are encouraged to participate in the evolving care plan. After all, you know your loved one best. We see ourselves as partners with the people who matter most, not gatekeepers between them.
What makes us different
- Small and intentional. A small care home means staff who know every resident — not a roster of strangers in scrubs.
- Locally owned and operated. Decisions are made here, in Greater Victoria, not by a head office on another coast.
- Complex care, done thoughtfully. Our team supports residents with dementia, memory care, and other advanced needs in a setting that still feels like home.
- Twenty years of trust.Families have entrusted us with their loved ones' care since 2003.
Our team
We are nurses, care aides, chefs, housekeepers, and a visiting physician — a team that chooses caregiving as a calling, not a job. We invest in our staff, because the wellbeing of our residents depends on the wellbeing of the people who care for them.
