Blue Sky Lodge (“Blue Sky Lodge,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through blueskylodge.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our practices align with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Information we collect

When you submit one of our intake forms (General Inquiry or Complex & Long-Term Care Inquiry) we collect the information you provide, which may include: your name, email address, phone number, how you heard about us, your preferred contact method, the type of care you are exploring, and any free-text notes you choose to share.

We also automatically record limited technical information at the moment of submission — your IP address and browser User-Agent — solely for audit and anti-abuse purposes.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit only to:

• Respond to your inquiry by phone or email;
• Arrange tours, follow-up calls, or care assessments at your request;
• Maintain an internal record of the inquiry for service quality and audit; and
• Detect and prevent abuse of our intake forms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing automation.

Where your information is stored

Submitted inquiries are transmitted over HTTPS, converted into a PDF, and stored privately on Vercel Blob (a cloud storage service operated by Vercel Inc.). A copy is emailed to our internal care team through Resend Inc., with your information attached. Both providers host data in encrypted form at rest and in transit. Because these providers operate infrastructure outside Canada, your information may be processed in the United States and is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction during processing.

How long we keep your information

Inquiry records are retained for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a reasonable service record — typically up to 24 months. You may request earlier deletion at any time by emailing inquiries@blueskylodge.ca.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics service that records aggregate page views and approximate geographic region without setting cookies or building individual visitor profiles.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate information;
• Withdraw your consent or request deletion of your information; and
• File a complaint about how we handle your information.

Children

Our services are intended for adults considering senior care for themselves or a family member. Our website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS in transit, encryption at rest with our storage and email providers, rate limiting and bot mitigation on our intake forms, and access control on the inboxes that receive your inquiry. No system is perfectly secure; if you have a security concern, please contact us promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will be updated when we do, and meaningful changes will be highlighted on our website.
